Kentucky and Virginia Natives Partner to Provide Verified and Legal Hemp Products
LEXINGTON, KY - Kentucky native, Annie Rouse and Virginia native Jason Amatucci have partnered to launch Anavii Market, an online retailer for third-party verified hemp-derived CBD and other industrial hemp based products. The partnership brings collaborative leadership to the ever-growing hemp industry and a platform for expanding domestic hemp markets.
Both Rouse and Amatucci have lead successful educational and legislative initiatives in their respective states since the passage of the 2014 Farm Bill. “I’ve been researching and educating about the plant for years, but now I am excited to offer domestic products to the broader population. If we want the crop to succeed, we must increase demand for it, and one way to do that is to offer an easy-to-use, quality-controlled platform for people to purchase and receive the products,” said Rouse who received a U.S. Fulbright Scholarship to study the Canadian hemp industry in 2013.
Kentucky and Virginia have a rich hemp history with legislative support for growing hemp markets. “I see the potential of this region regarding producing hemp products similar to how tobacco farming created jobs and boosted all kinds of aspects to the rural and urban local economies. We have lost a step in agriculture and manufacturing in this region over the past few decades and we want to work to reverse this trend.” said Amatucci who has helped lead the efforts to legalize industrial hemp cultivation in Virginia.
According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, 70% of CBD products are misbranded, creating pitfalls in the consumer market, but Anavii Market intends to counteract this problem with their third-party verification program. Both Rouse and Amatucci care about the quality and purity of the products and the end result for the customer. “The vision for our company is more than just business-as-usual. We want to be part of conscious capitalism. Our mission is to help people find healing and balance in their life through plant-based remedies and at the same time provide a market for products that benefit local economies and improve the environment.” said Amatucci.
